SIDI FREDJ
Sea side relaxation

Sidi Fredj is very much more important than you get the impression of when visiting it. While there is a well structured tourist complex here, coming with a yacht harbour, activity centre, and an open air theatre near the old fortress. Beaches are among the very best in all of North Africa.
Sidi Fredj is more than just mindless relaxation, this is also a very important historical site, it was here that the French landed their troops in 1830 in order to colonise Algeria. In 1943 Allied forces used Sidi Fredj over again in the campaign directed at liberating North Africa under World War 2.

Eat and Sleep
Good on both hotels and restaurants, but a little bit on the expensive side.

Transportation
Buses that go for both Algiers and furthermore for the airport southeast of Algiers.
