Akshak

Ancient city in Sumer, southern Mesopotamia, in what today is central Iraq.
Its location is not identified, but based upon information from clay tablets at Mari, it was close to Eshnunna, some 30 km northeast of modern Baghdad. It represented the geographical and cultural border of Sumer to Akkad in the north.
It is by many suggested to be the same as the later Babylonian city of Upi.
There are a few known kings of Akshak: Unzi, Undalulu, Urur, Puzur-Nirah, Ishu-Il and Shu-Sin.
History
About 2500 BCE: Akshak is conquered by King of Lagash, Eannatum.
About 2400: Akshak rises to power, taking control over Sumer and Akkad.
Around 2350: Conquered by King Lugalzagesi of Umma.
