| (1954-) Turkish signer, songwriter and producer, possibly the best-selling Turkish artist ever.
Estimates set her sales at around 40 million. Also as a producer, she has been very successful, collaborating on "Kiss Kiss" with Tarkan, probably the most successful Turkish song internationally ever. She has also worked with other musicians, like Tarkan, Sertab Erener, Sebnem Ferah, Askin Nur Yengi, Hande Yener and Levent Yüksel.
She has a oriental-style orchestra with 35 members, accompanying her on her concerts. Her music often handles political issues, like the matters of the environment and the poor.
She has been extremly productive, recording 20 albums in 28 years and producing over 700 songs.
She has been married 4 times, and is now single. She has one son, Mithat Can.
Biography
1954 July 13: Born in Denizli, named Fatma Sezen Yildirim.
1957: Her family moves to Izmir.
1975: Releases her first single, Haydi Sansim/Gel Bana, using the name Sezen Seley.
1976: Gets her breakthrough with Olmaz Olsun/Vurdumduymaz, which goes no. 1 in Turkey.
1981: Marries Sinan Öcer.
1983: Divorce, the marriage having produced one child.
1991: Releases what will become her best-selling album, Gülümse, which may have sold more than 2 million copies.
1999: Is central in the production of the largest ever Turkish international hit, Kiss Kiss with Tarkan.
