A'ali
Arabic: ¢āliyy

Town in central-northern Bahrain with 55,000 inhabitants (2009 estimate). The town is often referred to as Al-Wusta.
It is largely a suburban town of Manama, 14 km northeast, and has become a popular place to live in among the middle class and up. The population is largely Shi'i Muslims.
A'ali is famous for its enormous graveyard, counting 85,000 burial mounds.
History
1970's: A'ali is established with residential areas.
