In Mesopotamian religions, Sumerian god for the power of growth and new life in the date palm. Dumuzi-Amaushumgalana was the bridegroom of Inanna/Ishtar, and must be considered a variation of Dumuzi, not separated from the original deity.
In Uruk, there was an important festival celebrating the marriage between Dumuzi-Amaushumgalana and Inanna, a festival linked to the harvest season.
