Bat tombs.

City and oasis in Oman with 100,000 inhabitants (2005 estimate), situated in the Green Mountains (Jebel Akhdar) at an elevation of 200 metres at the border to the Rub al-Khali, often called the world's largest sand desert. Citypopulation has an population estimate of only 25,000.
It is the centre of Oman's main fields of oil and gas production.
Ibri has historical ruins of nearby Bat. The old parts of Ibri are crumbling and are largely neglected.

History
The history of Ibri goes back to 3000 BCE, with the Bat Tombs.
Until the middle of the 20th century, Ibri enjoyed a great level of autonomy, and was reportedly a trade centre for slaves and arms.
