Khorasani
Also called: Khorsani Turkish
Other name: Quchani

Altaic Turkic language spoken by about 700,000 in the northern part of Khorasan province, Iran. It represents the majority language in certain districts northwest of Mashhad.
Linguistically, Khorasani is midway between Azerbaijani and Turkmen. There are 3 major dialects, Northern, Western and Southern. Khorasani is also spoken in Uzbekistan, with the dialect called Oghuz-Uzbek.
It is reportedly not a written language, and mainly used in everyday life. There are radio programs in Khorasani.
Khorasani must not be confused with the Persian dialect also called Khorasani.
