In Mesopotamian religions, in particular Sumerian religion, goddess of justice, prophecy, fertility and fishing.
She was also the main deity of the city Nina, in the region of Lagash. Her temple here was called Sirara.
As goddess of justice, she was a popular and loved deity, in all levels of society. Still, she mainly had regional importance, usually she was overshadowed by Inanna.
Nanshe was born in order to heal the neck of her sick father, Enki. She is married to the god Nindara. Her father gave her the position to rule over the Persian Gulf.
