The population of Oman are Arabs. Islam is the dominating religion, and as the only Muslim country in the world Oman has the Ibadi (a branch often called Khariji) as the largest group.
The Hindus and Christians are in most cases immigrant workers, principally from countries like India, Pakistan and Western countries.
