Shawabti of King Takelot 2

King of Egypt 850-825 BCE, the 6th ruler of the 22nd Dynasty. He ruled from Tanis in the Nile Delta.
The main challenge of Takelot's reign was the unity of Egypt. His opponents was the powerful elite of Thebes. Upon his death, a fragile stability existed.

Biography
850 BCE: Succeeds his father, Osorkon 2, as king of Egypt. His half-brother Nimlot, the High Priest of Amun at Thebes acted as a co-ruler with him. They forged an alliance with Takelot marrying Nimlot's daughter.
839: Nimlot dies, resulting in a power struggle in Thebes. Takelot would become able to keep control over the region.
835: A new Theban rebellion which Takelot would be unable to suppress.
825: Takelot dies and is succeeded by a younger son, Shoshenq, after a power struggle between him and his brother, Osorkon.
