Tuthmosis 2

King of Ancient Egypt 1492-1479 BCE, 13 years, the 4th ruler of the 18th Dynasty.
He was the son of Tuthmosis 1 and half brother and married to Queen Hatshepsut, with whom he came to share his power. He subdued the peoples of Nubia and Palestine, and possibly also Bedouins in the nearby deserts.
He added to the temple of Amon at Karnak. He was, after his death, succeeded by his son, Tuthmosis 3 (which he had together with a concubine).
His mummy was found at Dayr al-Bahri in 1881.
