Yasuj

Town in southwestern Iran with 100,000 inhabitants (2005 estimate). It is the capital of Boyer Ahmadi va Kohkiluyeh province with 740,000 inhabitants (2005 estimate) and an area of 15,563 km².
The economy is based upon the production of the local sugar mill, of bricks and mosaic tiles, livestok feed, mats, baskets, carpets and rugs. In addition is there a thermoelectric power station in town.
It is linked by road to other towns like Dogonbaden, Dehdasht, Shiraj, Nurabad and Bushehr.
