Zahir
Arabic: 'az-zāhir
In Islam, term used with theology and law, meaning "visible, obvious, clear". Zahir then refers to the immediate, concrete message expressed in the words and statements in the Koran and the Sunna.
Zahir is the opposite of batin.
From the method of zahir emerged an orientation today called Zahiriya.
