ASWAN /
Practicalities

Eat and Sleep
Excellent on hotels, all price ranges are covered. All over Aswan there are thousands of hotel rooms. In summer time, expect to get high discounts. Equally excellent is the restaurant situation, eating full meals for less than E£15 should be no problem.

Transportation
As for trains, all are heading north, but it is as little as a couple of hours only between every departure. If you're heading for destinations away from the Nile, buses offer all a traveller could ask for. Places like Hurghada, Abu Simbel are served with 1 and 2 departures per day respectively.

Going Next
10 km south: Philae (includes boat)
300 km south: Sudan (the country). Bad roads,- or ferry
305 southwest: Abu Simbel
200 km north: Luxor
