LUXOR: Hundreds of statues  Some of the Sekhmet statues still in their original location.
So why do statues of Sekhmet dominate a temple dedicated to another goddess? I have looked in every book I have on these matters, but never found an answer.
 Possibly a colossus of Amenophis 3 lying between the temples of Mut and his own. The head and missing arm are now in the British Museum in London, Britain.
