The covered market area of Suuq Jreed stretches for a good kilometre, beginning at the Freedom Square (see Old City) ending at Funduq Market. A few places it is still quite attractive, but the market's main attraction is being totally at the service of Benghazi's own population. Hence it is the real thing, the old surviving well into modern times.
