Unfortunately, there are no ancient stories to the most visible landmark of Ghat. The fort on the highest point in town was begun in the 19th century by the Ottomans, and completed by the Italians in the first half of the 20th century. Climbing up here on a bright day, you will have stunning views in all directions.
