Freija, a small village above the Souss river, takes short time to explore, and is worth the effort. It is both a fortified village, a remnant of a structure vital to local communities. There are few left that has so well preserved the original structure as Freija.
From this point, too, there are fine views of the plains and the High Atlas mountains. A little out of the village, is an old kasbah (continues).
