Coming from up north, Tiznit has the first example of a typical Saharan minaret in Morocco. Perches punctuate the cornes of the minaret of the Grand Mosque, an architectural element central to mosques in Niger and Mali. This mosque is a strangely simple, yet alluring heart of Tiznit.
