EL JUNAYNA:
Still with a sultan

Almost in the middle of Sahara, a real life sultan holds his court. The Sultan of Messalit rules with limited power over a landscape divided between Chad and the Sudan. As one of few foreigners coming this far, you might be able to be presented for the sultan as an ambassador for your country. The town of El Junayna is not terribly large, but the area around grows fruits you wouldn't expect to find in the middle of Sahara, namely citrus and mangos.

Eat and Sleep
Food from the market, and you can stay the night in a governmental rest house.

Transportation
Lorries will bring you to El Fasher.
