HAÏDRA:
Mausoleums
Haïdra, Tunisia

Haïdra, Tunisia

Haïdra, Tunisia

There are at Haïdra three memorable mausoleums shaped as towers. Their location seems well-chosen, as if they are hulking over the river of Haïdra, and rather isolated from the town.
The one which is nicknamed "With Portico" (two upper photos) is in excellent condition, withe four fine columns of the portico and well-preserved details beneath the roof.
The Hexagonal Mausoleum (two lower photos) is almost as nice, and may be entered, although there is no staircase leading to the top.
